Intersection State Street and E. Johnson St., and later the Wisconsin State Capitol Building
Monday, July 15, 4:30- 6:30pm
Across the nation, legislators are trying to turn back the clock on women's reproductive rights, especially our access to safe, legal, affordable abortions on demand. These rights were won through struggle over 40 years ago, and we won't give them up!
The women of Texas have called for a national day of action on Monday. Across the country and here in Wisconsin, anti-woman, oppressive politicians are robbing women and girls of basic health care rights. We are losing access to safe abortions, STD testing, cancer screenings and more!
Rallies and marches are already beginning to be organized across Texas and the entire country for the 15th. Let's make sure Madison has a huge turnout!
THE PLAN: Meet up on the corner of E. Johnson and State St at 4:30pm, bring your signs, megaphones, and wear ORANGE, RED, OR YELLOW. We'll raise awareness and gather a crowd before marching to the Capitol building for a speak out at 5:30pm.
You can also SIGN THIS PETITION, adding your name to the list alongside Alice Walker, Eve Ensler, Jim Hightower, Judith Butler, Susan Stryker, and hundreds more: http://www.change.org/
